Střelecký ostrov. Island in the River Vltava near the centre of Prague almost parallel with Žofín Island. During the nineteenth century shooting practice took place on the island for the local civil military regiments. It was also a venue for outdoor music and dance entertainments. A hall on the provided an indoor venue for dance and other entertainments.
