Antonio Lotti

Lotti, Antonio (c.1667-1740). Italian organist and composer. Produced his first opera at the age of 16 in Venice where he studied under Legrenzi. Became organist at St Marks and later chapel master. Compositions include much church music and several operas, three of which were produced for the Dresden court.
