Prager Morgenpost 11/12/1863 reported that ‘The Prague Men’s Singing Society holds a Liedertafel on Saturday 12th December in Schary’s Hall. The Fools Evening [Narrenabend] that the Society is arranging this Carnival, will take place in the Hall of Žofín Island on 16th next month.’ On 12/12/1863 the newspaper related in its Tagesanzeiger daily almanac of Prague social and music events: ‘Evening Liedertafel of the Men’s Singing Society in the Hall of Schary’s Restaurant.’
